Kahlil Gibran's universally acclaimed prose poem is approached unconventionally by Yaron, shunning the ornate orientalist style adopted by many of its illustrators. Choosing only some passages which appealed to his visual sensibility, Yaron drew the plates with characteristic spontaneity.
